If you are thinking about starting a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, come to this workshop to learn the basic research and organizational documents needed to start a nonprofit.
Individuals see needs within their communities, and they decide to start a tax-exempt organization to deliver programs and services to meet those needs. This workshop will cover the basic research needed to start a nonprofit, the required organizational documents, and a review of the IRS Form 990.
- To learn the process for establishing a tax-exempt organization,
- To discuss the preparation work prior to applying to the IRS for tax-exempt status, and
- To explore the work needed to start up a tax-exempt organization.
Who should take this class? Individuals considering the establishment of a tax-exempt organization.
*REFUND/CREDIT POLICY: The San Antonio Area Foundation has a strict no refund policy.
If the registrant is not able to attend the workshop and/or class, a substitute may be sent. If a workshop and/or class has been unexpectedly cancelled and/or postponed by the Area Foundation, a refund or credit towards another workshop and/or class will be issued. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received less than 48 hours before a workshop.
