Grants

Honoring donors' wishes for the betterment of the community is the fundamental principle behind the San Antonio Area Foundation's grant distribution process. We award grants from Donor Advised Funds, Designated Funds, Outreach Funds, Unrestricted Funds and Field-of-Interest Funds.

Grants from Donor Advised and Designated Funds are made throughout the year based upon recommendations from donors who established those funds.

Grants from Unrestricted, Field-of-Interest and Outreach Funds are awarded through competitive application processes that occur at different times during the year. We encourage you to click on the links to the left for specific information about each funding opportunity.
