Grants

Currently the Area Foundation manages assets of $163 million. We receive funds from individuals, families, foundations, and corporations and then make grants to nonprofit organizations to meet current community priorities and prepare for tomorrow's challenges. In 2006, the Area Foundation awarded grants and scholarships totaling $10.9 million.

There is an application process for grants disbursed from the Area Foundation's Discretionary Grant Funds. All other grants are specifically disbursed on the advisement of the donors.
