WHAT WE DO

Bandera Community Foundation (BCF) raises money for the community.  We do that with fundraising events like art sales, the Spring Gala, and Celebrate Bandera.

BCF works like a conduit.  We give money to other nonprofit organizations that are making a difference in our community.  Some of the organizations that have received grants from BCF include Helping Hand, the Boys & Girls Club, Kronkosky Library and the Silver Sage Senior Center.

We also build assets.  The Disaster Relief Fund, established by BCF and the Unity Study Group, is one of several endowed funds that is invested with BCF for growth, so the money will be there when it’s needed.  We hold and invest funds for individuals who want to maximize the value of their charitable contributions.  For nonprofits, we invest funds that are set aside for a specific purpose, in a separate Endowed Fund that continues to grow.
